Gun sales skyrocket with Obama’s election

Many Americans are doing just that. After Obama’s controversial election to presidency gun storeowners have seen a noticeable increase in their gun sales.

            “I have been in business for 12 years, and I was here for Y2K, September 11, Katrina,” Conatser said, in a CNN interview “And all of those were big events, and we did notice a spike in business, but nothing on the order of what we are seeing right now.”

            Other weapons dealers have also seen this obvious spike in purchases of guns. Even running out of certain models in their stores.

            Many feel that this is in reaction to the possible threat of harsher restrictions being leveled on gun purchasing. They want to get them before it becomes harder to.

            The NRA says that they expect Obama to impose a heavy tax on guns and ammunition do to a previous article about Senator Obama supporting a tax increase of 500%. Now that he will be leading the country they fear he may really enact this previous threat. We will just wait and see.

Is he justifed in raising taxes on arms and ammunition?
