I have done much reading & listening to Mr. Fred Thompson. I sure hope he runs & I sure hope if you are undecided or independant PLEASE do your research before making a desisicion. This guy is awesome & think he truly speaks from the heart & actually cares what happens to this country.
So, where is Ron Paul in your poll? I will stay home before I vote for anyone in the list you present. At the very least you might leave a “none of the above”.
I am voting for Ron Paul, because I vote for the best man for the job and because I had enough of all the same big talkers of air smoke and feeders on the back of society, liers, ego maniacs, sociopaths, bunch of crooks, gang on capital hill. Rudy Juliani, what a lier, tremendous self interest for his pocket, he has big money involved in the building of the 4 times wide as a football field super highway Corridor from Mexico. His lawfirm is greatly involved in this money making scheme with the gangster Mexican government that will break Americas back. Most Americans are not aware of it and Juliani won’t admit it if you ask him direct (and he has been asked), he will avoid your question & lie. May God Help Us!!!
I will vote for Dennis Kuchinich, whether or not he is allowed to continue to participate in the debates, and I would appreciate it if his name were added to this list. I will not vote for anyone who tries to eliminate other candidates from the debates. We have the right to hear all of them. Thank you very much.
A landslide in New Hamphire is brewing. They way things are going, Ron Paul will easily take NH and Iowa. The world will be shocked in 2008. President Paul will be sworn into office and the world will breath a sigh of relief.
America has finally awakened and we’re not very happy!!
Polls, polls, polls… I wish people would stop the “RP languishing in the polls” defeatism - LOOK AT THESE NUMBERS!
Democracy is being denied every time there is a WHISPER of excluding Dr. Paul from candidacy forums - yet this is going on right in front of us. If it continues, what chance is there of a REAL “democratic” candidate coming out on top? How much “democracy” will it take to oust the current UNDEMOCRATIC political process?
Is this irony or just stupidity in the American political system?
What I cant really understand is why regular broadcast news is not reporting what is going on in America.
Fred Thompson has been a lobbyist for over 20 years!
Guiliani has a law firm that represents interests in Saudi Arabia and a Mexican company that they are getting the contract to build the superhighway in Texas that will run from Canada to Mexico and effectively erase the borders of America.
Hillary was recently heard on CNN telling technical companies that when she becomes president they’ll get all the HB1 visas they want.
Why doesn’t some of the news people break out and tell people some of these facts?
I keep hearing the top 4 rep and you always fail to mention Ron Paul however he has more than double anyone elses votes on your own site. Why do you keep lying and keeping all your listeners from hearing the obvious leader, Ron Paul?
AL Gore Got cheated last time lets do it right this time and have the real president lead us to a better country as it should have been 8 years ago. Think of all the problems we would have or might have avoided if Gore was President Gore, Like make the war in Iraq and Afganistan and all the US service men that might have lived to see there kids grow up and live to there retirement. Maybe when we loose our boys in war like Bush is doing mayber he is thinking we can save money to pay our social security out in 30 years and it will hold back running out of money for another 10 years. His population control hurts all Americans.
Ron Paul ? C’mon everyone knows all his volunteers are running an aggressive social marketing campaign. They ran up the Digg count on DIGG too. Passion is commendable but let’s keep it honest ron paul supporters. Quit clearing your cookies and only vote once
Ron Paul ? C’mon everyone knows all his volunteers are running an aggressive social marketing campaign. They ran up the Digg count on DIGG too. Passion is commendable but let’s keep it honest ron paul supporters. Quit clearing your cookies and only vote once
You don’t even list Dennis Kucinich, who has been for universal one payer health care forever, who votes for the people ALL the time, and who is the only candidate running (besides Republican Ron Paul) who voted against the Iraq War the first time.
He is also the sponsor of the “Impeach Cheney” petition.
Since candidates with guts who are not owned by corporations are ignored or we are told they “can’t win” by the pundits, I have little hope for this country. We will go the way of all empires before us. Bankrupting ourselves in fighting wars to benefit corporations instead of making them buckle down and do what they need to do to safeguard the future.
Anyone want to GUESS how many millions of barrels of oil this “war for oil” has wasted. And, in case you didn’t know, the Pentagon is one of the largest polluters on the planet!! We are fighting wars to sustain the war making industries, just as Eisenhower said we would.
Virtually ALL of the R. candidates EXCEPT Ron Paul champion the same solutions W. does. Except for Paul, who voted against the war to begin with, and McCain, they are also all chicken hawks.
I won’t vote for any of the candidates listed because you did not include all who are running. OF those listed, Gore would probably be my first choice. I would vote for NO ONE who promised more of the same of what Bush has given us. And, as I said, that includes virtually all of the Republican candidates. There has not been a Republican nominee since Nixon who, despite his dark side, at least had some intelligence. Looks like that will not change. Republicans put up fools for candidates. I think it is time for a deep thinker in the White House.
…how this poll could impact the election:
By creating an unfair and illegitimate poll not showing all the canidates, and thus this poll is not supporting democracy..atleast REAL democracy.
If the powers that be continue to resort to their bag of dirty tricks then we the people must be prepared to circumvent those dirty tricks and WRITE IN - RON PAUL
Young America don’t vote because there isn’t anyone they care to vote for…until now! Thanks Dr. Ron for running again! I can see that you have been saying and doing the same things for as long as I have been alive and I am so glad I now have the chance to vote for you!

August 4th, still no Ron Paul on the media. It is clear they fear him. I saw him for the first time at the debate…..I now have Ron Paul bumper stickers all over my Malibu!
I am quite curious to know why so many candidates were not included in this poll. How can you call yourself an “official” poll when all official candidates are not options. Not to mention the fact that three of your choices are not official candidates (Gore, Gingrich and Thompson, at least as of today’s date)
Please add:
Dennis Kucinich - D
Mike Gravel - D
Chris Dodd - D
Sam Brownback - R
Mike Huckabee - R
Tom Tancredo - R
Duncan Hunter - R
For the first time in history, I believe the presidency will be determined on the basis of either sex or race. Possibly both. Either way, it will be the perfect opportunity to prove that no matter who’s in office, it’s still going to be all about who passes the most cash under the table.
I guess you didn’t want me to vote for Ron Paul so you did not give me (or anyone else) the chance. That is a certain way to make sure a candidate does poorly and thus does not become known to voters who might potentially find him/her attractive. I see what you are doing.
Ron Paul supporters make me laugh, he doesn’t have a snowballs chance in …. Why doesn’t he just join the democratic primary, he fits better there since he’s in no way shape or form a Republican.
I have been reading up on Ron Paul and really like what I have seen and heard about this candidate. It is so sad to have to vote for the lesser of two evils so I pray he can get enough support to continue his race. What a great change of pace to have a decent president that cares about the U.S and the laws of the land rather than stomping all over them.
Where is John McCain’s name? I want him to lead us out of the practices of torure and terror back to some American Values — free speech, innocent until proven guilty, and protection against unwarranted search and seizure. I like what Fred Thompson has to say, but don’t know if I can trust another actor in the White House. Dennis Kuchinich got my vote on the poll. This is fun!

I am an avid Ron Paul Supporter. I have voted in every online poll I can get my mouse on. But I have NEVER voted more than once, that would defeat the whole purpose of a poll!!
Why do so many people think that when a statesman is running for President, “the numbers must be wrong, nobody supports politicians this aggressively”? THIS IS BECAUSE, FOR ONCE IN MY HISTORY, THERE IS A REAL CHOICE HERE. NOT A CONCOCTED CHOICE BETWEEN REPUBLICRAT A AND REPUBLICRAT B!
“Ron Paul supporters make me laugh, he doesn’t have a snowballs chance in …. Why doesn’t he just join the democratic primary, he fits better there since he’s in no way shape or form a Republican”
He’s not a Republican by today’s standards - which is to say - a big government warmongering neocon. No, he is a traditional republican. And he does have a chance to win this thing.. Ron’s supporters will turn out en masse on election day because we are excited to have the opportunity to put a man of integrity into office. I can’t say that about supporters of Fred Thompson, Rudy Giuliani or Mitt Romney. I can’t say I’ve ever met an enthusiastic supporter of one of theirs.
“I see the Ron Paul cultists are still stuffing the ballot box.”
Do you mean that you have evidence of a massive bot-net being used to automatically vote for Ron Paul? Or do you just mean that lots of Ron Paul supporters voted? Because, if stalwart, fervent, and ardent support is now against the rules of fair play, I guess the Paul campaign, as well as middle america, missed the memo.
I’d love to hear your account of “stuffing the ballot box”. Do tell.
Interesting how some people insist that votes for Ron Paul are from spammers. I suggest you go to a Ron Paul rally. The two recent ones in Michigan and TN had 1500 to 2000 in attendance. They had to turn away supporters. At this point, Paul has just over 1000 votes on this poll. What’s so unusual about that? Both the Republican and Democratic establishments feel threatened, and you’ve fallen for the smear campaign. It’s not our fault that your candidates cannot generate the excitement Ron Paul’s most important message (peace and civil liberties) has produced. Call it “cultist” if your desperation so desires, but the Ron Paul’s campaign is decentralized and often spontaneous. There are no leaders. It’s called grassroots campaign, in the Jeffersonian spirit. Get used to it.
I wore my Ron Paul shirt to a street fair yesterday, and received lots of positive responses. I had a very good talk with a woman who runs the Obama table. She said that if Obama doesn’t get the Dem nomination and it is Paul vs Hillary, she would vote for Paul.
I just want to say I will not be voting for Hillary, Obama or Fred Thompson as they are part of the council of foreign relations which is one of the main groups trying to stop our civil liberities ! Cheney used to be the director!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you say Socialism or Fascism??? They are for group rights not individual rights!! People wake up and smell the coffee! These people are not for the better good of America!
I’m voting for Ron Paul (10th term Congressman) people love him cause he doesn’t raise taxes, he wants us out of Iraq and never voted to go into it. He wants individual freedom (not special group interest),small gov’t instead overspending on useless stuff he wants to cut back and restore the economy. He wants the people to make their own choices about retirement in lieu of social security, Protect the borders he’s a real honest rare constitutionalist! Votes with constitution convictions. It’s about getting back to our founding fathers values. Ron Paul raised more $$ than John McCain last quarter!!!!!!!!!! Check Youtube.com out (type Ron Paul)!
How is it that ONLY Ron Paul supporters are accused of “stuffing the box” or “astroturfing”? First, this isn’t something that can be done easily, only one vote per i.p address. Second, if this WAS possible to do easily then why haven’t ANY other candidate’s supporters done this yet? Are they just too honest? Doubtful. Maybe you people should stop and think for a moment instead of letting the media do the thinking for you. Just like in the Fox poll, it was stated that Ron Paul supporters were texting their votes in more than once, again, this cannot be done. Just like a computer has an i.p. So don’t cellular phones have an identity that prevents things like voting multiple times on just about any poll you see anywhere. Give it up and let the Ron Paul supporters be able to support their candidate peacefully. We at least respect your right do that, why not let us do the same? Think for yourselves!
YOU CAN NOT VOTE MORE THAN ONCE ON ANY POLL, HERE THERE OR OTHERWISE! Those of you that are Fox news followers like to believe that Ron Paul supporters vote more than once becuase that is what you’re fed. One vote per i.p. address for online polls. One vote per cell phone IMEI number! I’ve tried it, just to see if it works. YOU CAN’T! So give it up, a lot of people DO support Ron Paul. The only REAL republican.
Whoa. Colbert just killed everyone. About a half hour ago he was at 0% how he’s first. If anyone’s wondering, i think it was the facebook group. it’s huge. and some people pointed this poll out. and then some more did. hooray for snowballs.
Let’s up Mitt Romney on there. He’s one of the front runners in this race, so let’s put him on. He has some really solid fiscal plans. His healthcare plan is really smart too. You can see his plans on http://mittromney.com/Issue-Watch/index
it’s quite obvious this poll is a sham, reading the previous posts it looks like you didn’t even include all candidates.
why? because you wouldn’t like the results?
It is very hard to believe that only Ron Paul supporters would be inclined towards spamming. The supporters of other candidates have the same tendency, the same ability, and the same opportunity.
Is there any way this can be verified. Does the blog owner have access to the IP address list of the voters?
Mitt Romney plans to slash taxes ridiculously. How then are we going to start lowering our 9 trillion + national debt? In fact, is anyone talking about THE issue that WILL force this country to its knees? We are drowning in debt, but none of the politicians talk about it. It’s the largest elephant you’ve ever seen sitting in a studio apartment, but no one wants to talk about it. http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/ Why aren’t we talking about this, and why do Republicans think that lowering taxes and keeping expenditures constant is going to solve this problem.
Here’s a fact, the U.S. spends more money paying off minimal debt payments (much like people paying the minimum on their credit cards) it spends more money on minimum payments than on health care, education, and national security COMBINED.
I feel it prudent to mention, if only for Ryan Ziebro’s benefit, that Mitt Romney’s plans on tax cuts are the least of our worries. If anything, the fact that several obvious “political aspirants,” more commonly known as “smilers,” are being seriously considered as appropriate candidates for this position is goddamn shocking.
In a lineup like this… even Ron Paul is suspect.
But you know, there’s only one defining feature that I feel is necessary, whoever becomes president: that they can balance their budget for their current position properly. It really doesn’t look like there’s more than one guy doing that right now.
This made me laugh because, like ‘NINJA’ says, it requires no registration. I’m Canadian and I voted in this. Sorry to throw off your numbers, but they’re probably nowhere near accurate anyway.
Yeah… Unfortunately, the only reason Stephen is in the lead here is because of the facebook swarm it got the night his name was added. It IS fun to look at though.
Personally, I would rather see RuPaul in the white house than Ron Paul…or Barak buying southern Black Chriches homophoboc votes,,,, right before his visit to San Francisco, Duh, LOL
Guliani frolicking with Pat Robertson in the presidential chamber…. chilling
I am happy to say that not only did I vote in this “poll” for US Congressman Ron Paul, But as the owner & Publisher of the Mid-South Patriot newspaper in Tennessee I have openly Endorsed the good Doctor.
I am seeing his campaign of “VOLUNTEERS” grow like a wild fire.
feel free to contact me @ midsouthpatriot@aol.com
Angelo Cobrasci, Publisher
Where’s Joe Biden????. If you are going to run this poll, list ALL the candidates, Heck even put in a “write in” like on a REAL Ballot. Pretty Biased Site if you ask me.
Stephen Colbert isn’t actually running. His whole campaign was just a gag… why are people so stupid that they can’t understand that? The guy down there… dogs… who says us “Ron Paul cultists” are “stuffing the ballot box”… you’re a moron… and you deserve to be enslaved… which you will be if we DON’T “stuff the ballot box” with our own votes for Ron Paul. We each get one vote… we are at least making that vote count… if it still even does!!! When you get that chip in your hand… come tell me how you like slavery.
I love Barack Obama. We deserve a change. DON’T LET 9/11 RUIN YOUR THOUGHTS! We Muslims are kind people!! Please vote for him. Don’t be prejudice, because I bet you are. And nobody likes a racist either…
Instead of questioning the validity of a poll, why don’t you gather support for your candidate. Even if your pathetic accusations were true, please explain why talking head supporters are hardly passionate about their candidate? Ron Paul stands for something and is not afraid to speak his mind. The media constantly attempts to stump Ron Paul, twist his words, and convince Americans that Ron Paul is not a legitimate candidate despite his outstanding record and ability to demonstrate logic.
If America was a business, we would be out of business. Sure, you can spend money you don’t have, but don’t forget that you have to pay it back–with interest! What did our forefathers say about costly foreign entanglements? Read the history books. Here’s an idea: why don’t we focus on our own nation. Just a thought.
I am a registered Democrat who has never voted for a Democratic presidential candidate. I WILL vote for Barack if he is the nominee. If Hillary gets it, as much as I do not like McCain, he will be WAY above her in getting my vote. My husband, a registered Republican, feels the same way.
I like Ron Paul and this is why, he is NOT INSANE! I am tired of these Dictator presidents and there racketeers and thugs worming their way into our privacy and everyone else’s globally! No I can’t spell, sorry. That is parcially the school systems fault since learning disabillities were never properly adressed and satisfied with really knowelleable professionals well trained for the mass of children who have them. Ron Paul might though.
And atleast he isn’t the other candidates cousins! Like the rest of them are! I read this, and I believe it! He also isn’t a member of the secret society called CFR! And that is two good reasons why I am voting for him! Read about CFR and who belongs, if you haven’t, I think you will be suprised. Like this zinger George Bush and Cheney are cousins and the realitives of Barack Obama. And they are cousins to John McCain. They have to keep the power in the family and the CFR!
Hillary was already in the white house and her family is dysfunctional.
So I vote Ron Paul. A rational well adjusted man with a BRAIN! ANd it works!

I’m voting for Dennis Kucinich.
Where have you been?
July 27th, 2007 at 3:29 am
I wanted to vote in the poll, except Dennis Kucinich was not listed as a candidate!?! Please add him to the list.
Thank you,
Paige Tomson
July 27th, 2007 at 3:33 pm
Why is Dennis Kucinich left out of your poll? More people might participate if you include ALL of the candidates. I for one will not.
July 27th, 2007 at 4:06 pm
Dennis Kucinich is not on the list? I shouldn’t be surprised. The corporate media will never change.

July 30th, 2007 at 9:47 am

Say YES to Dr. NO!
Young America don’t vote because there isn’t anyone they care to vote for…until now! Thanks Dr. Ron for running again! I can see that you have been saying and doing the same things for as long as I have been alive and I am so glad I now have the chance to vote for you!
Rock On Ron!

I say this being a Hillary supporter

RON PAUL is the ONLY candidate who will uphold the Constitution!!!! Just look at his record. He has never voted for anything that was Unconstitutional! HE IS THE CHAMPION OF THE CONSTITUTION!!!! GO RON PAUL!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!
August 4th, 2007 at 1:18 pm
August 4th, still no Ron Paul on the media. It is clear they fear him. I saw him for the first time at the debate…..I now have Ron Paul bumper stickers all over my Malibu!
August 6th, 2007 at 11:34 pm
Here’s hoping Newt gets in the race.

September 7th, 2007 at 5:05 am
I guess you didn’t want me to vote for Ron Paul so you did not give me (or anyone else) the chance. That is a certain way to make sure a candidate does poorly and thus does not become known to voters who might potentially find him/her attractive. I see what you are doing.
September 15th, 2007 at 3:04 am
Ron Paul.
September 15th, 2007 at 3:05 am
There is no option for Ron Paul.
September 30th, 2007 at 6:27 am
Great poll, where Romney? oops
September 30th, 2007 at 6:33 am
Ron Paul supporters make me laugh, he doesn’t have a snowballs chance in …. Why doesn’t he just join the democratic primary, he fits better there since he’s in no way shape or form a Republican.
October 8th, 2007 at 9:30 pm
Where’s Mitt Romney on this list??
October 9th, 2007 at 12:38 am
I have been reading up on Ron Paul and really like what I have seen and heard about this candidate. It is so sad to have to vote for the lesser of two evils so I pray he can get enough support to continue his race. What a great change of pace to have a decent president that cares about the U.S and the laws of the land rather than stomping all over them.
October 11th, 2007 at 7:03 pm
Where is John McCain’s name? I want him to lead us out of the practices of torure and terror back to some American Values — free speech, innocent until proven guilty, and protection against unwarranted search and seizure. I like what Fred Thompson has to say, but don’t know if I can trust another actor in the White House. Dennis Kuchinich got my vote on the poll. This is fun!

Hope for America Vote For Ron Paul
October 20th, 2007 at 12:36 pm
October 20th, 2007 at 3:24 pm
October 20th, 2007 at 4:52 pm
@Doug
Do tell.
October 20th, 2007 at 7:32 pm
October 20th, 2007 at 7:35 pm
I wore my Ron Paul shirt to a street fair yesterday, and received lots of positive responses. I had a very good talk with a woman who runs the Obama table. She said that if Obama doesn’t get the Dem nomination and it is Paul vs Hillary, she would vote for Paul.
October 20th, 2007 at 8:08 pm
October 21st, 2007 at 10:12 pm
October 22nd, 2007 at 1:34 pm
YOU CAN NOT VOTE MORE THAN ONCE ON ANY POLL, HERE THERE OR OTHERWISE! Those of you that are Fox news followers like to believe that Ron Paul supporters vote more than once becuase that is what you’re fed. One vote per i.p. address for online polls. One vote per cell phone IMEI number! I’ve tried it, just to see if it works. YOU CAN’T! So give it up, a lot of people DO support Ron Paul. The only REAL republican.
October 23rd, 2007 at 12:53 am
Where’s John McCain and Mitt Romney on this poll? They need to be included on this poll.

Whoa. Colbert just killed everyone. About a half hour ago he was at 0% how he’s first. If anyone’s wondering, i think it was the facebook group. it’s huge. and some people pointed this poll out. and then some more did. hooray for snowballs.

it’s quite obvious this poll is a sham, reading the previous posts it looks like you didn’t even include all candidates.
why? because you wouldn’t like the results?
October 25th, 2007 at 8:57 pm
Though I do support Colbert, McCain needs to be on here!
October 25th, 2007 at 10:38 pm
It is very hard to believe that only Ron Paul supporters would be inclined towards spamming. The supporters of other candidates have the same tendency, the same ability, and the same opportunity.
Is there any way this can be verified. Does the blog owner have access to the IP address list of the voters?
October 26th, 2007 at 12:11 am
Please include Jonathan Dannecker in your poll.

October 26th, 2007 at 7:35 am
October 26th, 2007 at 9:48 pm

P.S. I voted Colbert.

Yeah… Unfortunately, the only reason Stephen is in the lead here is because of the facebook swarm it got the night his name was added. It IS fun to look at though.
