Cohen has his facts wrong. He talks about correlations between Vietnam and Iraq. Well the Vietnam war was funded by the Kennedy administration (sent US advisor’s etc) and was greatly expanded by Johnson (FYI both democrats) Nixon won his first election by saying that he had a strategy for ending the war, namely bombing Hanoi. As I recall, the peace conference of Paris ended the war (officially) until the North invaded shortly after and Saigon fell. Doesn’t sound like much of a correlation, but then again democrats never worried much about the facts.

I doubt that the people that support McCain, like rich white people or older conservative people are going to be on this site. I don’t think this poll will be very accurate in determining who might win for the Presidential election.
June 6th, 2008 at 3:04 am
I do believe those aren’t the only two candidates.
June 6th, 2008 at 3:56 am
Ron,
Nixon also won because RFK was shot that year during the primary. Without that, Nixon may very well have lost and we would be living in an entirely different world. Just FYI.
June 6th, 2008 at 1:13 pm
I do believe the last 3rd party candidate to win was Teddy Roosevelt in 1912.
June 27th, 2008 at 11:14 pm
I don’t plan on voting for either candidate. Obama is a socialist and McCain is not the answer. If I had to pick between the 2… I would probably vote for McCain. But since I’m not required to vote for either candidate… I won’t.
July 14th, 2008 at 4:19 am
Faulty poll. You should have a “Neither” category…
July 21st, 2008 at 8:57 pm
John McCain is CLEARLY the better choice for the American President. It’s a no brainer here folks.
July 23rd, 2008 at 2:32 am
Obama 2008
July 23rd, 2008 at 1:05 pm
Not excited about either choice but the media bias has poison me against Obama. Same Media that picked Johnson, McGovern,Carter, Dukukas, the Serial Sex Offender Clinton, Al Bore, Swift Boat Kerry. By the Way to Pollster Teddy Roosevelt lost in 1912 Wilson won.

Obama is a joke. Research the facts.
He is:
1.) PRO-ABORTION. (only senator to vote for after-birth abortion) Look it up.
HE’S FOR KILLING BABIES PEOPLE!!!!!!
2.) PRO GAY MARRIAGE. (but uses fancy wording when speaking to anti-gay groups to make them think he dosen’t approve.)
MY FELLOW CHRISTIANS YOU CAN’T IGNORE THIS.
3.) ANTI-DRILLING, NUCLEAR ENERGY (which means CONTINUING GAS PRICE INCREASE. Everyone is already and will continue to fill the effects of this.)
4.) HE’S A COMMUNIST. (His beleifs are based in communism. Take money from the rich, succesful workers and give it to the poor people who don’t work and want everything handed to them for free.)
!!!!THIS WILL BE THE DOWNFALL OF OUR COUNTRY. IF YOU TAKE WEALTHY PEOPLES MONEY AND GIVE IT TO PEOPLE WHO MAKE NOTHING OF THEMSELVES, THERE IS NO DRIVE TO MAKE SOMETHING OF YOURSELF. WHY WORK HARD WHEN YOU CAN GET EVERYTHING FOR FREE!!!!!!
4.) FOR HIGHER TAXES. (He states he will not renew the “BUSH” tax cuts. Which will result in an increase in taxes.)
I don’t love Mccain, either. He’s wrong on some issues.
but remember this
YOU DON’T VOTE TO GET THE CANDIDATE YOU LIKE IN OFFICE,
YOU VOTE TO KEEP RADICALS LIKE OBAMA OUT OF OFFICE.
July 30th, 2008 at 5:34 am
Noah, I couldn’t agree more! You hit the nail right on the head. One more good point about Obama is universal healthcare, which sounds great but if you research what it’s affects have been in other countries it’s Crazy! They first tell people universal healthcare will mean everyone gets coverage, right? WRONG!!! When this gets passed in a country the doctor’s aren’t paid as much (so a lot of decent and good doctors quit for better paying jobs) and people are quickly told they won’t be covered after all because the problems they have are self inflicted. Oh, you’re a smoker and you have breathing trouble; too bad, self inflicted…Your overweight and have diabetes; too bad, you did this to yourself….You have liver problems and you were a drinker; so sad, self inflicted…etc, etc.
July 30th, 2008 at 5:39 am
Oh, and Hoang, this is in response to your comment that “I doubt people that support McCain, like rich white people or older conservative people are going to be on this site” is false in two parts:
1 Rich white people and older conservatives now own computers.
2 I’m neither rich nor old and I’m voting for McCain, as are many of my friends!
August 6th, 2008 at 10:08 pm
Noah’s response is sad. Christ says to help the poor, and nation’s that turn there back, and only concern is love of money - will be punished. Noah, you are a sick, miss-informed person.
But this is a secular nation? Do you want a religious state, like Iran?
Is McCain or Barak running for Pope? In a religious state. Only God will judge those that have abortions.
Obama has support from conservative business people, such as JOHN BOGLE - found of Vanguard Funds, PAUL VOLCKER - Ex Fed Res Chairman that beat inflation under his term, and WARREN BUFFETT - wise businessman from Nebraska - these are not nut cases (like you seem to be) and are rock solid Americans that are giving centrist economic advise to Barak. Get real, McCain is a great American, but a bit senile, too old for this job.
August 14th, 2008 at 12:37 am
Obama who?
I can’t vote for someone who can’t let us know who he is.
August 20th, 2008 at 10:51 pm
A Republican - is anybody kidding???? Thank you to a Republican administration the next President will inherit a record budget deficit, estimated at $482 billion dollars. The vote is clear - OBAMA 2008.
August 23rd, 2008 at 4:58 pm
Your tiny poll is just as corrupt as the Commission on Presidential Debates. If you want to get a realistic view of what true Americans want to need to list EVERY candidate that state ballot access in enough states to get the electoral votes to win. By the way, the reason a third party candidate hasn’t won is because of the unconstitutional rules of the CPD and the unconstitutional ballot access laws put into place by the Republicans and the Democrats. I’ll be voting for Liberty this year, I’ll be voting for Bob Barr.

First, Florida delegates are not counted because of the fiasco with the Presidential Primary. Hilary won the state of Florida, hands down, but Obama gets the prize. My vote did not count because I voted for Hilary…. just like my husband and many, many other Floridians did.
NOW…. when I was considering either voting for McCain OR staying away from the polls entirely, that choice is taken away from me. McCain’s choice of an UNQUALIFIED BIMBO for his V.P. removed that choice.
Lots of news people are saying that Palin was chosen to draw disenchanted women voters from the Democratic camp. HEY… I am one of those disenchanted voters… and I am a woman. McCain is not drawing me to his side. McCain INSULTED ME and other intelligent independent women by his choice of Palin.
We MUST NOT let this woman represent the United States of America. Once the most powerful nation on earth, if the McCain/Palin ticket wins, we will be the laughing stock of the world. We cannot afford that.
I refuse to be silent and let that woman represent me. I will use my voice to sway as many people as I can to vote for Obama. No matter what I think of Obama, we cannot afford to allow McCain’s half-baked plan succeed.
August 30th, 2008 at 2:39 pm
Noah… Bless your heart. I need to say an extra blessing for individuals like you. You start out as if you are a Christian, but when I read further it is clear you certainly are not.
Barack Obama represents Change. I understand Change for many of you instills fear. You are scared that this Young Inexperienced American will take away the lifestyle you have become accustomed to and love. Fear Not, my fellow Americans. There are enough resources here in America that will support us all. Unfortunately, the majority of Americans have not been able to enjoy these resources because in the last eight years, the poor are becoming more poor and the rich is getting richer. Obama is trying to level the playing field. The American Economy is in the worst shape since the nineties. Foreign relations are basically at ZERO. Health Care..is a joke. No one with a conscience and a sense of reason can tell me that this is OK, and should continue. Everyone please place your vote for America, not for yourself..but for America. That is the only way we will be able to survive what is in store for us. God Bless America!!!

Noah, you’re an idiot. That is all I have to say about that. Good day sir.

“A Republican - is anybody kidding???? Thank you to a Republican administration the next President will inherit a record budget deficit, estimated at $482 billion dollars. The vote is clear - OBAMA 2008.”
And McCain has already stated that he will continue those failed policies, increasing the deficit even further. There is still hope that the USA can recover from the Bush Administration’s 8 years of chaotic policies, but that hope will deminish if McCain wins this election.
I hope more independent voters realize that McCain is more of the same.

McCain is a far better choice then Obama. Sarah Palin is even a better choice then Obama. Oh my gosh!!!! Never Obama………..Mc Cain is the one.

McCain has the experience and the intelligence to be the next president. Obama wants to raise the taxes of hardworking individuals and hand it out to those too lazy to get a job. National healthcare is a joke. Doctors will no longer manage our care and help us to make our own medical decisions. A third party will control all of that. Need a life-saving procedure? Well, call your case manager and they will look into it. For those of you insulted by the choice of Palin, how can a strong, intelligent woman insult you? Well, maybe you have no intelligence of your own. If anything, you should be insulted by the thought of Hillary running for president. You would vote for a woman who let her husband cheat on her and humiliate her in front of the nation? McCain/Palin is the only intelligent choice for the next president, for those of us that want to control our own lives and make our own decisions. For those wanting a dictatorhsip, you could vote for Obama, or just move to Cuba.
September 4th, 2008 at 3:33 am
I couldn’t disagree more strongly with Noah. In fact, I’m so incredibly and painfully frustrated that I just had to give hope to anyone else out there who shares my disappointment in some of America’s citizens by posting the reassurance that there are, in deed, others out here who are strong Obama supporters and believe that there remains the chance for change.
September 4th, 2008 at 6:36 am
Obama may not have the “resume” or “experience” that some think should be required for one to become president but my goodness. Quite a few of these so called well qualified, experienced candidates who have had these qualification sure seemed to mess this country up a whole lot. Maybe a fresh face, an average human being, could actually set us on the right track. Obama is my guy and hopefully my children have a better future in store for them because Lord knows if McCain is anything like George Bush (and I believe he is) then most Americans should know we have a rough road ahead of us. VOTE OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!
September 4th, 2008 at 2:47 pm
I worked hard for my money and I don’t want the DEMOCRATS/HIPOCRITS to tell me how I should spent my money!
September 4th, 2008 at 2:50 pm
Amy! I am guessing you have have a lot of money in the bank to vote for OBAMA! Don’t be selfish! I have kids to feed and I need to spend my money to my kids NOT GIVE THEM AWAY TO OBAMA!
September 4th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
I rather VOTE for “SARAH PALIN” instead voting for OBAMA that surrounded by his crazy friends. Can you imagine having a president that has a “FRIEND” that hated AMERICA! You all Obama fans are insane! I guess you don’t care about who you are.
September 4th, 2008 at 4:24 pm
Anna: would you rather vote for the republican candidate who has “FRIENDS” who hate the America? And not just friends, herself and her husband? Don’t forget, Palin and her husband were members of the Alaskan Independence Party (yes, MEMBERS. The videotape is on YouTube with the president of that party stating so). The founder of that party stated: “I’m an Alaskan, not an American. I’ve got no use for America or her damned institutions.” He also said: “The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government,” AND “I won’t be buried under their damn flag,” Sarah Palin championed their cause even telling the AIP: “Keep up the good work” (That tape is on YouTube as well. That sounds like traitor talk to me. Anna: have you and the republicans become so desperate that you would want someone who believes THAT to run our country?
September 4th, 2008 at 5:13 pm
As a hard-working American, I would like to see my paycheck instead of most of it being taken away to feed those too selfish and lazy to work (AKA democrat supporters). Get a job and pay for your own healthcare, your own housing, your own food, your own children, your own utility bills, like the rest of us!!!!!
September 4th, 2008 at 5:45 pm
Some people don’t have it in their power to get a legit job and pay for everything. It just doesn’t work that way. These people DO indeed try their best.
September 4th, 2008 at 5:47 pm
also - I don’t see anybody mentioning the amount of money that was put into the war in Iraq. Tons and tons of money, which COULD pay for everyones health care. Or for those who desperately need it.
September 4th, 2008 at 5:47 pm
Republican convention looks like a cult. Devil
September 4th, 2008 at 7:57 pm
Cheryl: You are under the interesting opinion that everyone on the dole is a registered democrat. You need to get out more and stop reading the conservative propaganda. I’ve met a number of food-stamp families who are Bush and McCain supporters. But if you insist on just reading to gather information, I suggest you read most of the older republicans’ autobiographies—the people who grew up during the depression—and hear them talk about how government programs saved their families. Read Clarence Thomas’ book: he decries government programs now but he never turned one down at the time. Listen to some of Rush Limbaugh’s old radio programs when he talks about the days he was too fat and lazy to hold a job and lived on food stamps. And speaking of government money, Gov. Palin actively sought out money for the Bridge to Nowhere, then decided against building it when it became a national joke. Funny thing: SHE NEVER GAVE THE MONEY BACK! How’s that for fiscal responsibility?
September 5th, 2008 at 5:29 pm
Well, I watched McCains acceptance speech, and I like him.. but.. there are so many lies, and just mean spirited BS in his campaign, that I don’t trust him… for example, they pick Palin, find these things wrong with her, and then keep spouting off how the Democrats are attacking her, when they are not.. and then she does the same thing… I have had enough PROPAGANDA the last eight years. I want some integrity back… The wealthier people seem to have these fears that Obama is going to cost them all this money, but it’s stupid.. when the poorer people in this country have some money to spend.. they will make money.. just like they did before Bush screwed this country up…. If you want to continue living this existence of fear, fear of the dangerous world.. fear of your own government which the current administration has grown (not reduced).. then by all means be a scared, paranoid, wimp.. and continue the insanity and vote for McCain… because that’s just more of the same fear…. personally, I am not afraid of the boogyman.. we are a strong country, the fear only makes you weak.. We need to be better in the WORLD, and I don’t think McCain is going to do that.. and his honesty is just not there for me.. another example, saying that it is Obama that has the lobbies behind him, when they lobbyists are all at HIS convention partying !!
September 7th, 2008 at 12:48 am
I agree with Noah. I will be voting for McCain. I like McCain and Palin too. He made a good choice for his VP. I don’t think Obama should be president. There are many reasons….which I don’t feel like getting into…..but didn’t his wife say that this is the first time she has ever been proud of her county? He is also inexperienced. McCain maybe be older but he has much more experience. Same with VP Palin. She has a lot of experience AND she is a mother!!!! You cannot say that about a lot of people [running]! Palin is a mother! That is one of the toughest jobs out there! Plus, it is so much better to have a lot of expirence and be older then not have any and be younger.
Go McCain!
September 7th, 2008 at 6:55 pm
Great points, Nichole! Why I can see it now: a trip to your doctor in the near future could go something like this:
Doctor: Well, Nichole, it appears as though you need brain surgery. And not just regular brain surgery but really, really hard brain surgery.
Nichole: Oh, that’s bad.
Doctor: But there’s a good side. I’ve recommended that your surgeon be Sarah Palin.
Nichole: Sarah Palin? Alaskan governor and Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin?
Doctor: That’s right.
Nichole: Well, I knew she was multi-talented and a quick learner. She once changed planes in Ireland and that made her an expert in international affairs.
Doctor: That’s right. And I once touched a wine bottle. That makes me a drunk.
Nichole: So why should I listen to your recommendation, you old wino? How do you know she can handle the job?
Doctor: Because she’s. . . a mother.
Nichole: That’s right! A mother! Why that’s the toughest job in the world! If she can handle five kids then brain surgery will be a piece of cake! I’m sold, you old drunk. Sarah Palin can mess with my brain any time she wants to.
Doctor: She already has, Nichole. She already has.
September 7th, 2008 at 9:25 pm
Well, for those of you who want to see your money, don’t look at your pay check… catch a flight to Iraq and watch as it marches and dies in the hot sun.
Obama 2008…. pay down the debt…. help those in need…. improve our schools, improve health care.
You conservatives who say you are Christians may want to think about what Jesus would do… would he be stingy and hold on to everything for himself, or help out the less fortunate
September 7th, 2008 at 10:33 pm
drudge2…..ha.ha.
you don’t have to get all sarcastic. i was just trying to make a point that sarah is a mother and nobody else is. gosh.
i assume you’re voting Obama? That’s fine. Obviously it’s your decision.
I will be voting for McCain unless somebody or something changes my mind. If Obama impresses me or people tell me things about him that I didn’t know then sure, I’ll will vote for him. If he’s the better choice. But as of now I’m not. That doesn’t mean I don’t have respect for people voting for Obama. And if Obama wins….cool. That’s what America wants. He will be the president and I will deal with it. I don’t mind Barack. He is fine. I sort of like him. But I would rather McCain. I’m just saying….Besides, whoever is the president is the president. Majority rules.
Have fun voting.
And no. Sarah Palin has NOT messes with my brain. She has NOT.
PS- my name is spelt Nicole NOT Nichole. thank you.

Nicole:
I am glad you aren’t making motherhood your single reason for voting someone into office. If you really think about, if that indeed were the case, then it would seem the most qualified person for public office would be Kate of “Jon and Kate Plus Eight” TV show. Or perhaps even another McCain—Carol—who was forced to raise her three children alone while her scum of a husband cheated on her then left her for a younger, richer woman. (I wonder what ever happened to him?)
But on a few serious notes:
1) Sorry for misspelling your name. That was due to lack of attention on my part and I apologize.
2) Yes, I am voting for Obama. Not because I am a democrat, which I’m not. I am an independent who voted in his first two elections for Reagan. I vote the person and not the party. I am voting for Obama because I met him many years ago in Chicago back in his community organizer days (Yeah, back before the Republicans began ridiculing those people. I’m sure their worthlessness would be somewhat of a surprise to such community organizers as Martin Luther King, Jr., Gandhi, and Jesus. Not to mention the Republicans of the late 1980s who called community organizers some of the “thousand points of light”). Anyway, I remember watching him in action one day and being incredibly impressed. I left with a conservative friend of mine and after a long, quiet walk home my friend suddenly broke the silence with: “Jesus, why don’t we have someone like him on our side?!” The next time I saw Obama was when he gave that speech at the 2004 Democratic convention. (At the time I blurted out something intelligent like: “Hey! It’s that guy!”)
In 1992 and 1996, the Republicans made a big deal about character and how that was important in choosing your leaders. They had a point and I’ve kept that in mind all these years. That’s why I want to ask you about John McCain: Do you trust him?
One word I have heard often from people who have known him for many years is “opportunist.” Here is a man who left his wife for a younger, richer woman and it helped his career. He cultivated his “maverick” image for over two decades, fighting hard for his “deep-seated beliefs,” and that too helped his career. But now that he is running for president, all those “deep-seated beliefs” have been dumped and their polar-opposites have taken their place, and it seems that move is helping his career. When John Kerry changed his mind about two or three things, Republicans called him a “flip-flopper.” But here is John McCain who has changed his mind on literally everything he once held dear. I’m not arguing one way or the other about the merits of those beliefs right now: I am concentrating on the character of a man who will apparently change anything as long as he benefits from that change. So which John McCain is running for president? What does he really believe? If he gets to be president, what will he believe then? Or will he change again? Republicans may celebrate his “maverick” image now but after the election they will expect him to toe the line. (Remember, it was the Democrats who titled him a “maverick.” The Republicans always considered him a “loose cannon.”)
Do you trust him, Nicole? And if so, which John McCain do you trust?
September 8th, 2008 at 5:24 am
P.S. Nicole:
You also wrote: “Besides, whoever is the president is the president. Majority rules.” If that indeed were the case, Al Gore would be ending his second term. One thing not many people are paying much attention to is the electoral votes of the states. And though the majority of polls show Obama slightly ahead or even with McCain in the popular vote, the people who do pay attention to these things say that Obama has a much bigger majority in projected electoral votes. But, as they say, the only pole that really counts is on election day.
Thanks for letting me spout, Nicole. My best wishes to you.
September 8th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
The differences between McCain and Obama are minimal, when you consider that both believe big government can save you from yourself, and that we can save other nations from themselves as well. I will not play along with the game of lesser of two evils, as I believe that is part of what has plunged this nation into the mess we find ourselves today.
Please visit bobbarr2008.com and give liberty a voice in the Presidential debates and beyond.

Limited poll. Why not include more choices? Why not include Paul or Barr? When did America decide that only 2 parties exist? I ask that you change your poll.

What Happens Next? As I see it the rapid decline of Obama’s lead in the polls is likely foster a debate as to whether or not this situation may result in a change of his running mate.
Will Biden choose to withdraw his VP candidacy and create an opportunity for Obama to recuit Clinton? Would Clinton accept if he did? Would the country view such an action as something offensive and controversial?
BIden stepping down may not be as impossible as it sounds. Two data points to consider are that Biden publicly admitted that Clinton would have been a better choice and the Youtube video of Biden at a Union Rally in Pennsylvania was quite revealing as it concerns the behavior and body language exhibited by Obama and his wife when a seemingly tipsy Biden made his introductions. Don’t accept my judgement go to Youtube and see it for yourself.
In my opinion if Biden were to step down at this point it would grossly underscore serious problems as it concerns Obama and leadership abilities now and in the future. It would also serve notice that Obama is a slick politician willing to take any action to achieve his personal goals. If Hillary wasn’t his choice months ago she clearly isn’t his choice now and bringing her to the ticket suggests that he isn’t the one making the decisions within his campaign and his future administration. This makes me now wonder about his long term relationship with Jerimiah Wright and others. It also makes me wonder about his integrity and his convictions.
As far as Clinton is concerned how, or more importantly why, would she degrade herself by joining a ticket as the result of the GOP ticket when she clearly wasn’t wanted by Obama to begin with? Can you blame her, after all her campaign was a success by anyones definition?
More importantly if Obama were to maintain the ticket as is, and subsequently lost the election, then Clinton would be the most formidable opponent the Democrats could offer should Palin be the next GOP nominee for President. I don’t think it would be in the interest of Clinton to consider a subordinate role to Obama at any rate and think the liklehood is marginal if there is one.
If the Obama/Biden ticket is modified in any way it will seal the deal this November for McCain/Palin in my opinion.

drudge2:
wow. interesting story. and do I trust him? hmmmmmmmm.
at this point I’m not sure. I don’t know who to trust.
September 11th, 2008 at 10:15 pm
Drudge2:
It seems as if both candidates have flip-flopped on many things how about Obama on drilling. Mccain definately was not my first choice. In 2000 he was but has done some things I have not totally appreciated ie. the nuclear option he voted against. Which for those who think it has anything to do with WMDs its actually about filibustering. I also think we need to change to a popular vote the electoral college is now outdated and ridiculous.
It is funny though how the democrats loved mccain before he was actually running in the presidential race. They always praised him for going against Bush and other key republicans and now they are trying to compare him to Bush. Seems a little hypocritical.
Also if we want to talk about personal lives at least Mccain was not good friends with a terrorist by the name of William Ayers. Everybody has bad things in their lives and everybody makes mistakes. Why do you think Obama quit his church with Jeremiah Wright as the head for political gain.
Save some oil use a tire gauge!
September 12th, 2008 at 10:06 am
I sure would like another choice. Where’s Ralph Nader? Where’s Chuck Baldwin?
September 13th, 2008 at 2:40 am
There’s one thing that seems everyone is referring to when it comes to choosing
Mccain, and it makes me very disappointed.
What I mean is that there are some people who are choosing Mccain because of his experience. But what these people may not be thinking about is: “WHAT KIND OF A EXPERIENCE?” Shouldn’t we question: “What kind of a result would bring us this kind of experience?” If any kind of experience is the best criteria in regard to choose the next president, why Bush with 4 years of governing the country, and having a father as a president, didn’t give the people a better life? And I believe that Mccain’s experience is based on this kind of partisanship, as he supported Bush policies most of the time.
And there’s also some people who think that because he’s a experienced war man, he’s a better choice to win the war. Wouldn’t we better off with a president who knows how to win a war without actually going to war?
September 13th, 2008 at 4:07 am
McBush is a sheep in wolf’s clothing.
Palin is a religious extremist.
The American public are idiots to beg, “Please sir, may I have another?” and march like drones to the polls to elect another 4 years of crumbling economy, war, and religious zealot divisiveness.
Elect McCain, and watch your country implode with bickering. You will receive what you asked for. Good luck. Hope your salary can pay for high gas, private schools, and medical bills (w/ no insurance). Your savings were given away to bail out big businesses that mismanaged them - all on McBush’s watch. You’re doomed. 1929 all over again, and you voted FOR it. Amazing.
September 15th, 2008 at 10:28 pm
Hoang- I’m not that rich or old.
September 16th, 2008 at 4:37 pm
If McCain gets elected the United States will fall apart. What is the matter with you people? Are you total robots? You have been lied to, ripped off as suckers. Take back your country. DEMAND more from your leaders. Step one, get the criminals OUT. Step two, hold Obama’s ass to the fire. Get out in the streets and get active. DEMAND to be heard and do it peacefully.
September 16th, 2008 at 4:48 pm
Noah. Your views are why this country is divided. The information you are putting out is wrong. Your God will ask you why you felt the need to misrepresent corruption as a just cause at a time when the greater good was at stake. You are nothing but an militant extremist trying to control other people while hiding behind your faith. Jesus weeps for you. I will pray for Him to see the hatred in your heart and to banish it from your body.

I’m with Rick. I can’t for the life of me fathom why one person in this country thinks that McCain is a good idea. His record and sentiments prove that he’s right in line with the Bush idiots. He even tries to impress Karl Rove with his smear tactics and Karl Rove doesn’t even buy it. How many people remember when the republicans thought McCain was a total moron and didn’t even nominate him in the election 8 years ago. Two months ago, how many people could have told you the governor of Alaska’s name. This is a loser ticket and the sheep need to wake up.
September 18th, 2008 at 4:51 am
McCain lacks ability to move this country! He doesn’t ever have enough brain power to run a classroom full of 1st graders….Barack Obama For Pres.
September 18th, 2008 at 6:16 pm
All I want to say is America wanted change and got it when Congress changed power (changed from Republican to Democratic) That is when we saw a major turn, well turn for the worse. All I can say is that if we elect a democratic president, all he!! will break loose and we will probably become a 3rd world country (we will want to cross into Mexico). I am not 100% for McCain, but I think he is the best answer. I agree with Republican views (no I am not a rich white man, LOL, or which white women, but I agree with the views). Obama will raise taxes (I am sorry, but I am having a hard enough time get by now, not sure where that money is going to come from).
Oh and I more thing, I blame Congress for our problems today!!! They have more control over the economy than the President. This is a check and balance type government, I can’t even imagine if we had a Democratic congress and a democratic president (think I will start looking for a new home in Canada!)
September 18th, 2008 at 7:21 pm
NObama has NO experience and NO ability to lead this country. He is a rock-star who is winning a popularity contest. I did not vote for McCain in the primary, but he is a better candidate than Obama. Personally I think if McCain wanted to lock of this ticket, he should have chosen Lieberman as a running mate. (Although Palin is very intriguing). He went the risky way, and so far it is paying off. The democrats are in a tail-spin.
September 19th, 2008 at 11:06 pm
I am a democrat that is not happy with our party. Bush is getting a lot of un popular feed back, but look at the house and sen, both are under democratic controls. I don’t really carry for Bush’s war myself but Obama doesn’t have enough experience to get us out of a war or put us in one. I hope McCain is our next president I feel from his experience and leadership abilities he will lead us into better times and he will get my vote.
September 20th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
Obama/Biden get my vote. I wouldn’t vote for McCain based on his constant and repeated lying. Palin picks up the lies that McCain forgets to tell. I’m tired of liars. We’ve been lied to by Bush/Cheney for 8 years, people!!
I’m an Independent who used to lean more toward Republicans but I have to say the Republicans have gone too far to the right and whacky for me. So called Christian-right who defend liars. That was enough.
I’ve also realized that the trickle-down economic theory of the Republican’s does not work. It has failed miserably. The Republican deregulation has failed miserably.
It’s time to turn this country around to new direction and rid all the Repubs and vote Democrat all the way down the ticket.
Let the working class and small businesses get the tax breaks instead of Corporate welfare and advantage to the wealthy. Only the Dem’s offer that.
Those of you who are talking about healthcare and comparing it to other countries healthcare systems are not actually looking at the plan.
Obama’s healthcare plan is nothing like any other countries and is not socialized healthcare. Also, by the way, France has an extremely successful healthcare plan. I also know many Canadians who are quite pleased with theirs.
September 21st, 2008 at 2:43 am
This year I am not voting for either candidate. I don’t let peer pressure keep me on a two party system. Which get you deeper and deeper in with the government. They are both the same to me. This year I am writing in my vote. How about you are you scare to write in your vote. The system is broke and only listen to people who have money and out of touch with the other people.

However, if he drops dead we’re stuck with the witch hunter as a president.
September 22nd, 2008 at 7:33 am
Please look at the plans of the candidates and forget the “noise”.
With McCain we have a continuation of the past 8 years. With Obama we have a chance to fix the many problems created by the current President. If you are against Obama I challange you to read his plans as he has spelled out. Do not be fooled by the many who want to retain power and create wealth at the expense of the future of our country.
September 22nd, 2008 at 8:59 pm
thats not true the middle class will be who gets screwed by obama
September 23rd, 2008 at 9:37 pm
Sorry, Jake Shumard, but you are wrong. As reported on CNN, Obama’s tax plan involves “overhauling the tax code to lower taxes for the poor and middle class, increase them for the rich and make it so most Americans can file their taxes in five minutes. . . The tax relief plan he envisions for the middle class alone would mean $80 billion or more in tax cuts. . . His plan means billions in breaks by nixing income taxes for the 7 million senior citizens making less than $50,000 a year, establishing a universal credit for the 10 million homeowners who do not itemize their deductions — most of whom make less than $50,000 annually — and providing 150 million Americans with tax cuts of up to $1,000.”
September 24th, 2008 at 2:44 pm
It’s a bad poll. What if I don’t plan on voting for either of them. I’m voting for a 3rd party candidate. As a result, I won’t participate in your poll and the results are skewed.
September 24th, 2008 at 7:47 pm
Um, I’m not rich or old (27) and I am voting for McCain. I make less than $30,000 a year and I still believe that the only thing Obama would do for me is lose me my job (I, along with many other blue coller workers work for those businesses that Obama will indirectly shut down). I’ve been following this election closely, and even if my taxes went down, my income would drop to ZERO because there is a chance I would be laid off because they have to downsize in order to survive with all the new taxes on business.
Cementing my opinion, I was told I: “cling to my guns and religions,” and if he is going to make comments like that about working class whites, he isn’t going to get many votes from them, at least from the ones that are smart enough to think.
September 25th, 2008 at 1:51 am
I’m definitely not voting for either Obama or McCain. The two-party system is a SHAM.
Both candidates want to increase the size of the military.
They’re both anti-single-payer healthcare.
They’re both funded by corporations.
They both work for POLITICAL PARTIES, not the American people.
They won’t increase our embarrassingly low minimum wage.
They both unilaterally support Israel’s oppression of Palestinians, which is part of what caused those radicals to topple the WTC.
Neither of them support significant environmental policy change.
They both supported the PATRIOT act and illegal wiretapping/ spying on Americans.
They both support our dangerous preemptive/ militaristic foreign policy.
They’re both incessantly pro-corporation, rather than pro-average American
Etc. etc. etc.
NOT A CHANCE will either of the business parties get my vote.
NADER ‘08
September 25th, 2008 at 2:49 am
I can’t believe that this country is in the mess it’s in and these poor, misguided souls believe McCain is the answer. If McCain is the answer, then you’re asking all the wrong questions. I’m 48 years old and will never see a cent of the Social Security I’ve paid into all of my life - hope my health holds out so I can work until the day I die. My children and their children’s future has been robbed by the Republicans and I’m supposed to vote Bush into a 3rd term (which is what will happen if we elect McCain and what’s her name). We hold the future of the world in our hands with this election and if those who decry Obama will just admit it’s because he’s black, I could respect that. But I can’t respect the same rhetoric over and over again as it’s been regurgitated by Fox News- it’s all about making you afraid of change. Well, 4 more years of this frankly scares the h*ll out of me. Obama has been called an ‘elitist’ (I guess that means you’re raised by a single mother in low income) and the man that supposedly has his campaign on the pulse of the common man is a multi-millionaire who doesn’t know how many homes he owns while his wife attends the convention adorned in tens of thousands of dollars worth of clothes and jewels. The latter is how I define ‘out of touch’ in my neighborhood.
For my money (or what’s left of it) I’ll take Obama any day.
September 25th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
What a shame ALEX…b/c a vote for NADER is like casting your ballot into a public toilet! Too, bad…you seem smart enough to recognize that Nader was a good candidate (at least back in his day) but you’re not smart enought to recognize that
a) Obama is the best candidate this country has EVER had (tho’ noone is perfect) and
b)a vote for Nader is as good as voting for McCain the arcane
September 26th, 2008 at 6:57 am
Ron Paul
September 27th, 2008 at 6:01 pm
as cheryl said “As a hard-working American, I would like to see my paycheck instead of most of it being taken away to feed those too selfish and lazy to work (AKA democrat supporters). Get a job and pay for your own healthcare, your own housing, your own food, your own children, your own utility bills, like the rest of us!!!!!”…….we are children of democrat supporters..and we feel as though since we can not vote at our age,we feel as though we have all the right to voice our opinions. #1) you said us as democrats who have to get a job and or pay for our own health care and etc. but did you realize that McCain(AKA REPUBLICAN) is taking the money from YOUR taxes to pay for everything including the war so either way you are still losing your money . Our parents both work very hard and are STILL struggling as DEMOCRATS!. It does not Make any sesne to me how You can sit there and Type that Democrat supporters are lazy and selfish , when republicans are the selfish ones. Try losing you home due to the war because you can not pay for your home any longer and still call your self a republican. Unless you are Filthy rich its going to be quite hard to take care of your beloved Children, find another job, pay for your new utiliies and keeping your helath care. So educate your self next time you want to call a working class Democrat lazy and selfish because we work to survive and if we did not do so do you think i would have the luxurie to sit on this computer and tell you that your wrong?
September 29th, 2008 at 10:58 am
there is a reason all the dumb states always vote for republicans. there is nothing wrong with republicans, but come on now, give us some better choices, not this nutjob.
Who care about abortion and gays, or foreign policy. Why don’t we just do what works best in the past, stay out of other people’s BS. We don’t need another “maverick” that is going to go against the united states and popular opinion and pull some BS like going to iraq. Obama has some good plans, that can fix the problems that more people have to deal with.
fuk tax breaks, whats the point when they are just going to run up a debt to historic highs, and when someone wants to clean up the mess everyone goes crazy. Thats what republicans do…run up the debt until no one wants to vote republican, then let the democrats deal with it. Tax cuts don’t count for shiit when u don’t got no home, or a job, and have to pay $6 a gallon.
September 30th, 2008 at 8:09 am
If Obama wasn’t black, it wouldn’t be a issue. I’m white and I’ve heard too many of my friends complain about the possibility of a black president. I don’t think “white” America is ready to change its racist and self-hurting so called conservative ways.
October 2nd, 2008 at 1:34 am
What a biased poll.
Ron Paul, if he was on the poll. He is the only candidate that is actually for the American people who ever stood a chance, and he is silenced at every corner.
October 2nd, 2008 at 4:40 am
It is nice to see that most polls do not give any choices other than the two mainstream candidates. I cannot vote in this poll as I fully intend to cast a write in ballot for Dr. Ron Paul. This country will never recover as long as people continue to vote for people the two main parties shove at us backed by a media frenzy which make the campaign process nothing more than a Jerry Springer show. Americans have the option of a write in ballot and therefore should be using their heads to elect the best person to run the country not just voting because “well everyone is voting for him” or “I don’t want to waste my vote on someone who will lose” and other ridiculous reasons.
October 2nd, 2008 at 7:55 pm
I’m voting Nader. Write-Ins don’t go to intended person in my state or it would be Ron Paul.
The Polls are very misleading and I’m hearing it all over the place. Democrats would rather vote McCain than Obama and Republicans are just not sure.. it just won’t be McCain.
Obama and McCain both voted yes to illegal aliens, yes to tougher FISA regs and yes to the bailout. What’s the difference between these two???
I can’t vote for that. I’m voting for Nader, he’s spent his entire career fighting corporate greed.
October 3rd, 2008 at 5:59 am
OK….IM SURE YOU ALL CARE FOR WHO YOU WANT TO BE THE PRESIDENT YOU JUST CANT IGNORE IT……EVEN THOUGH BOTH OF THE CANDIDATES HAVE SOME ISSUES…BARACKO OBAMA IS A BETTER CHOICE FOR A PRESIDENT.
I HATE WAR…AND GUESS WHAT MCCAIN IS THINKING OF STATING A WAR WITH RUSSIA?????
EVEN THOUGH HE HIMSELF SAID HE CANT STAND WARS…HE JUST NEEDS TOO GET HIS NOSE OUT OF OTHER COUNTRIES BUSINESS….
October 5th, 2008 at 4:08 am
I could never vote for Obama who has to be told to put his hand over his heard during the National Anthem and he was unwilling to where a flag pen on his jacket. That is scary. His friendship with terrorists is also a concern. His liberal record of baby killing is a concern. His muslim leaning ways are a concern. His lack of experience is a concern. His intentions should be questioned. I just don’t trust this guy one bit. Bush was terrible, but this guy may be worse yet.
Too bad Ron Paul didn’t win the Republican Nomination. He is the only true conservative out of all those knuckleheads.
October 5th, 2008 at 7:28 pm
There are too many questions which haven’t been adequately answered in my opinion about Obama. Born in Kenya, Kenyan citizen until 1982, religious upbringing, and the crowd he hangs with all worry me about what makes this man tick…
Obama is not what’s best for my family.
October 6th, 2008 at 4:52 am
Mccain has consistently lied about Obama’s stances. John Mccain will raise taxes for middle America about $2000 a year. Obama won’t raise taxes for anyone making under $250,000 a year. Mccain will keep killing americans in Iraq. Obama will get them home. Use your heads.
October 6th, 2008 at 4:28 pm
You call that a poll??? Where are the choices?? Both McCain and Obama voted for the fleecing of American with the 700 billion corporate welfare package. Both McCain and Obama voted to let Bush and the telecoms continue to spy on Americans in direct violation of the Constitution… the list goes on and on… So where is the choice? With a half dozen candidates on the ballot, why do you only have the two worst choices listed? One can’t help but wonder where Bob Barr would be in the polls if the media and polls like this one weren’t doing so much to pretend that he doesn’t exist. Wake up America!!! Vote for REAL change!!
October 6th, 2008 at 6:04 pm
44-East:
Since when is Hawaii in Kenya? He is, and always was, an American citizen. Just Google “Obama birth certificate” and you can see it online. Geez, is that too hard for you? What sort of “research” did you do to “establish” he was born out of the country? Even some of the wackiest neo-con don’t even spew that lie because the proof is obvious and too easy to verify. Get with the times.
October 8th, 2008 at 12:51 am
sunday night, I was watching a little t.v. and stopped at fox news. To my surprise, it seem to look like a bio for a court hearing to set evidence to pass judgement on Obama. WOW, 2008, didnt know we still do witch hunts!
October 8th, 2008 at 2:41 am
I seriously hope America does not throw an additional 4 years down the drain by voting McCain/Palin. I can’t even get over how scary Palin is..
Good luck America.. choose wisely.
October 8th, 2008 at 5:51 am
I want to vote for Nader. Where is that option on this site? A vote for Nader is a vote for we the people to get the country back from the special interests ruining our country. Time to create a unicameral system. I am tired of we the corporation!!!
October 8th, 2008 at 6:40 pm
A lot of the third party candidates lack experience with the machinations of Washington. McKinney has been a politician but look at her VP choice: a hip hop grass roots organizer. In an ideal world we could put these folks in charge and they would do a fine job. This is not an ideal world and I think someone at least needs some experience with a political office to take the big job. Furthermore, I think the independents sing a certain tune because they know their chances of winning are somewhat outside the scope of reality.
October 8th, 2008 at 9:07 pm
What happened to separation of church and state?
Also, how can someone be anti-choice and pro-capital punishment, vice-versa?
I can’t seem to get a good answer from either side, without extreme bias towards one position.
October 9th, 2008 at 9:24 pm
When I studied US history to prepare my US citizenship exam, the first question that I encountered was how many states does the United State have, guess what, Obama answered it wrong, he said US has 57 states!!! I don’t know about you, it means a lot to me if someone wants to be my president that can’t answer it right. I was Obama supporter but not now, I just can’t, period.
October 10th, 2008 at 1:25 am
I AM VOTING FOR MCCAIN/PALIN!! THERE ARE TOO MANY ISSUES DEALING WITH OBAMA… IF MCCAIN SAID SOME OF THE STUFF THAT OBAMA HAS SAID, HE WOULD BE A RACIST!! DO THE PEOPLE OF AMERICA NOT REMEMBER THAT IT WAS THE MUSLIMS THAT KILLED MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE ON SEPT. 11TH??? WHAT BETTER WAY TO DESTROY AMERICA THAN TO DESTROY US FROM THE INSIDE!!! WE, THE CHRISTIANS OF AMERICA NEED TO TAKE A STAND!! WE NEED TO PRAY THAT THE MAN ELECTED IS THE MAN GOD WANTS IN WASHINGTON. WE NEED TO PRAY SPIRITUAL WARFARE OVER THIS ELECTION, MORE THAN EVER BEFORE. SOME HAVE SAID THAT MANY LIVES WILL BE LOST IN IRAQ IF MCCAIN WINS, BUT WHAT ABOUT MILLIONS OF BABIES THAT WILL BE KILLED EVERYDAY BY ABORTION? IS THAT OKAY? VOTE MCCAIN AND PALIN!!!!!!!
October 10th, 2008 at 1:44 am
Christians need to wake up.. stand against the evils and socialist ways Obama is certain to bring to this country! We have a duty to protect the future of our children.
John McCain is the ONLY choice here! His resolve and love of country speaks volumes.
God Bless America..
McCain/Palin 2008
October 10th, 2008 at 11:18 pm
Melissa, neither John McCain nor Sara Palin will outlaw abortion. What republican ever has? Obama isn’t a muslim - he is a christian. This fact has been driven home over and over. If you still don’t believe it, it’s because you don’t want to.
And Kimberly, while Obama isn’t a socialist, I have to wonder if you really know what a socialist is? Have you read the book of ACTS in the Bible? Read it again - they were socialists. They provided for one another financially and many of them lived together in a commune-like setting. Weird - that you find socialism so bad since you’re a member of a religion that celebrates it. You have read the Bible haven’t you? I have, and I am a Christian, and I can assure, Jesus wasn’t a capitalist. So, when the failed republican economic policy drives more people out of their homes, into the streets, and out of jobs, my door is open for those friends of mine that are in need. I’m sure yours will be too.
October 11th, 2008 at 2:29 pm
I believe white-people are nervous and thrashing about in panic, searching for a link to a pre-1960 America. Sadly, time marches on and instead of wasting time voting, their efforts would be better spent making love, not war, re-populating the planet with compatible ethnic-types.
October 11th, 2008 at 5:52 pm
Good job Kim!! I’m glad to know some of us still have our brains in the right places!! Too bad I can’t vote though, I’m too young. =[
October 12th, 2008 at 3:32 am
Most of you people are an embarrassment to democracy.
McCain is after all, different from Bush in some ways, he is not greedy and his number of houses has nothing to do with policy. He is a humble servent of his country.
The accusations I’ve seen on Obama are simply pathetic. He is not a terriorist, muslim, communist or infanticidal maniac. Obama is a down to earth, hard-working person who sticks up for other down to earth hard working people.
Check out this video of McCain being gracious enough to tell the good truth about Obama: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kf6YKOkfFsE
And go here to learn how Obama’s real views on abortion: http://www.rhrealitycheck.org/blog/2008/03/25/when-obama-voted-no
October 12th, 2008 at 4:02 pm
Obama is pro gay marriage? I heard that gays are those people who are ruining our society, but I thought that was the blacks! No, wait, sorry… our unsupported hatred has moved onto the Muslims. Obama’s a communist too I hear. Better dead than red right? Or was that the 1960’s…? Either way, a communist man like Obama who managed to successfully run for presidency of the united states won’t do so well in white christian America. Glad we got that settled. Because I was scared that the USA, the greatest country in the world and the land of the free where anyone can know success and can be who the want to be, was about to become an unbiased democracy that appreciated all its citizens.
Keep hating what is different, and you will continually be happy
You’re right Mtrsprt, voting for McCain would be a no brainer… That’s why I invite every American of the United States to please, use your brains…
October 13th, 2008 at 1:30 pm
I agree 100%. A vote of Obama is a vote for Socialism. We have to take a stand and get out there and vote for McCain!
October 13th, 2008 at 6:08 pm
Obama will turn us over to the EU and Socialize this country
give tax breaks and incintives to minorities and make our military
take the back seat in a dangerous world !
wake-up America
October 13th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
The Problem with Obama supporters is that they are blind to the facts. All they hear is change, And I agree we need it. However, If you actually take the time to look at Obama’s political past, especially how he won his state senate seat in 2000, you’ll quickly realize that while he preaches change, he practices more of the same ‘ol.
DOn’t be lazy, research your candidates on your own. The news media is heavily biased. If you can’t agree with that, then you’re exactly the problem with our country and will only make it worse with a Democrat like Obama in the white house.
October 13th, 2008 at 11:13 pm
Obama has no experience at anything. He didn’t get here because he was smart, or even a great leader, it was because he’s a smooth talker, an empty suit, with a little little mind capable of regurgitating talking points professed by the big blue political machine.
October 14th, 2008 at 2:51 am
There is no doubt,, Obama IS a socialist! He stands for GOVERNMENT owned healthcare, business and total control of our lives. This country was founded by hard working, Christian, moral citizens that fought AGAINST government monopoly. We must not allow the “gimme” voters to win. So many people are looking for a free ride.. and a handout.. There is NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LUNCH.
I agree with Kimberly L. We MUST TAKE A STAND and vote for John McCain!
May God continue to bless America.
October 14th, 2008 at 9:53 am
Come on people you realize in the 8 years Clinton was in office he cut military intelligence and spending by 35% nine months after he got out of office what happened 9/11. So what were we supposed to do sit here on hands and act like we deserved it. I know, I know Iraq didn’t attack us but they were harboring terrorist and the information we received about weapons came from Germany supposedly part of the UN so why shouldn’t we have trusted there information. The simple fact is that if we are not careful Obama will cut defense spending which means other countries like Russia and Iran will create weapons that could possibly hurt innocent Americans. The deal is there is a real and present danger that needs to be addressed.
****Vote McCain****
Heres a better example of what I am talking about.

god people. and i mean that. GOD PEOPLE (if you claim atheism, you may disregard), please don’t claim to speak for jesus, then choose a candidate that will exacerbate the economic problems, creating millions of poor and homeless. i beg you to leave religion out of this one (and everything else). don’t vote your beliefs. yes jesus is real. yes, the bible is true. but if you were to read the bible, you would realize the middle class capitalist you imagine jesus being has been fed to you by middle class capitalists. jesus would not vote. jesus sought the destruction of moralistic political systems, and here you are advocating the election and appointment of the sadducees and pharisees. the same people who killed the god you claim to focus on. use your brain people. or should i say sheople.
October 15th, 2008 at 3:35 am
Americans!….. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!… Please…..!!
Obama is a smooth talker, but only says what he thinks everyone wants to hear! He will “give”… “give”… “give”… One question,,, “Where is this money coming from?”…
Look at all his affiliations…. the negative, DANGEROUS, people…
There is no way a Christian could endorse this man!
Please don’t be swayed by the media… They are liberal… Very one sided..
Do what’s right… Vote for INTEGRITY….
.. Vote McCain.. !!
October 15th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
Don’t YOU realize that the terroists are already winning? Their main goal was to attack our economy. Well they have done just that. By going to war (with the wrong country) and having George W Bush for president for the last 8 years, look at our economy! And just what are we trying to WIN in Iraq? For them to have democracy? What if they don’t want it! America shouldn’t assume that every country wants to be like us.

WHY IN THIS DAY AND AGE ARE WE ONLY ALLOWED TO SEE DEBATES THAT ARE BETWEEN THE 2 MAJOR PARTIES. DO WE STILL LIVE IN THE USA WHERE WE DESERVE TO SEE MORE OF THE CANDIDATES PARTICIPATE? WE NEED MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO HEAR OTHER WHO HAVE VARYING VIEWPOINTS THAT WE THE PEOPLE SHOULD BE PERMITTED TO HEAR. WHAT IS WRONG WITH WITH OUR NEWS MEDIA WHO ONLY THINK THAT THE MINORITY OF THE CITIZENS DO NOT BELONG TO THE DEMOCRATIC OR REPUBLICAN PARTIES?

Obama has WAY too many character/judgment issues to become President.
* This man has an obvious problem this is audio (from his
book ‘Dreams of My Father’ in his own words. If a white Presidential
candidate had said things like this…they wouldn’t have even made to
the Primary! Please, if there is an Obama supporter that can explain
this…I’m open to listening.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNS_1ZoJWWg
* Conversation with plumber regarding ‘redistributing’ HIS money to
those in line behind him! This man worked hard to establish a small
business, why punish productivity? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-
qAsx8nGMXY&feature=related
* His connection to ACORN; he represented the organization in the
Illinois State court to comply with motor voter legislation. This
organization is SO corrupt and full of fraud its not even funny!
This was on Lou Dobbs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38gZ38gDYAs
* He admitted in his book Dreams of My Father (audio read by him)to
have been drawn to Marxist professors in college (uh, no thanks!)
* His attendance at Trinity Church - the racial hate that Jeremiah
Wright preaches is insane! I won’t quote what he said here…I’ve
pasted some excerpts from his sermons. Either Barack was being
disingenuous about his faith to get in with the community or he
thinks its okay….either way, its bad.

* In 2007 he was rated the MOST liberal senator by National Review
(which is non-partisan) based on his voting record. Another good
source is votesmart.org . They research the
voting records and ratings of politicians.
* In the Illinois State Senate he voted ‘present’ 129 times! Either
he’s trying to not to be controversial (hard decisions are rarely
gray) or he can’t make up his mind…either way…ugh! If you’re
there..vote for real!
* He doesn’t speak of the war in Iraq in terms of victory only to
reiterate that he didn’t agree with it. Fine, but we need to win and
get the he_ _ out! I’m concerned that he wouldn’t be a good commander
in chief to the troops. OBAMA: “You know, they have yet to
define “Victory.” Or it’s a very slippery definition. My view is,
number one it was a poorly conceived mission. So to talk about
victory” - from interview with George Stephanopoulos this past Sunday
* Roe v Wade will never be overturned and my opinion of choice has
changed since becoming a mother, but I didn’t like his answer during
the Saddleback forum - that it was above his ‘pay grade’ to answer
when life began. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRswgN-Wf6g
When he does actually
answer a question, he then takes it back or modifies it a day or two
later. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlYMSTP1CxY&feature=related
* He voted against the Illinois state version of the ‘Born Alive Act’
which grants legal personhood to an infant who lives through an
abortion. First, I’m dumbfounded that you could just let a baby die
like that…He said that he would have voted for it if it mirrored
the national version and in fact both contained protections for the
Roe V Wade. http://www.factcheck.org/elections-

* He wants to provide all these social programs and lets his half
brother, George, live on a dollar a month in Africa! Walk the walk! I
know he probably has a lot of relatives, but that’s ridiculous send
the man some money!
* Tony Rezko, a convicted felon on corruption charges, bought
the lot adjacent to the Obama’s new home (on the same day the Obama’s
bought their $1.6 million dollar home) so the seller would accept the
Obama’s offer (they apparently couldn’t afford to buy both). Rezko was
later awarded a $14 million contract for a housing project.
* At the Saddleback forum, Barack gave an example of going against
his party by working with John McCain on ethics reform, but he ended
up backing out after a week, saying to McCain in a letter dated Feb.
2, 2006, that he and other Senate Democrats had decided against
McCain’s idea of a “task force” on ethics, preferring to let standing
Senate committees work on the matter. (So, he wasn’t really involved
at all!).
McCain sent back an angry, blistering response
, accusing Obama of insincerity and
“self-interested partisan posturing”: McCain (letter to Obama) Feb.
6, 2006: I would like to apologize to you for assuming that your
private assurances to me regarding your desire to cooperate in our
efforts to negotiate bipartisan lobbying reform legislation were
sincere. … I’m embarrassed to admit that after all these years in
politics I failed to interpret your previous assurances as typical
rhetorical gloss routinely used in politics to make self-interested
partisan posturing appear more noble. Again, sorry for the confusion,
but please be assured I won’t make the same mistake again.

* Militarily he was wrong about the surge, wrong on his response to
Russia invading Georgia (he evidently wasn’t aware the Russia had a
vote on the UN Council when he recommended that they handle the

corporate tax rate of all countries @ 39%. If we continue to raise
this amount we will see company after company outsource even more
jobs than have already gone!

* Hasn’t really accomplished much; elected to Illinois state senate,
which even CNN profile (saw Tuesday night) equated that position as
being about as prestigious as a city councilman. Ran for US Senate

Watched the last debate between the two candidates reminded me of my ex brother in law versus Obama. We were poor in Vietnam when he came to marry my sister. That guy made the same kind of promises the way Obama is doing now. Things like “I will work very hard on 2 or 3 jobs, I will make beaucoup money and treat your daughter as my queen. I will take care of you little brothers and support you all til high school; I will hire servants to take of mom and dad…blah blah blah”. Don’t you guys get it. This is a kind of survival skill people used back in VN where live was tough and I would say probably Asia and the Middle East where most people are doing it. People just lie to the bone in order to get something…and we are seeing one right now. I hope the Obama supporters wake up now and don’t get hypnotize by the words “change” and the “I will” from Obama. You got to look in his core my friend!!

HYUNH- All politicians lie. It’s up to the public to try and figure out which one is a bigger lier. I for one do not trust McCain. He has supported Bush for seven years! He only stopped when he became the front runner for the Republican party. He is not trying to distance himself fron the Bush administration.
McCain talks about Obama having to raise taxes in order to pay for he healthcare program. What about McCain’s program? Giving every american $5000 to get their own healthcare, where’s that money coming from??
Both candidates have good points and bad. No President can make an impact unless he has the support from the Senate, House and Congress.

I really don’t understand, why Americans can’t understand English. It’s so simple to see Obama being sneaky and deceitful. Obama would like to appeal to the masses, and all the groups out there, by saying one thing to some and another to others. He wants to implement laws and regulations that are not in conformity, but contradict each other and cannot be realized. His agenda is so unrealistic that you would have to be very naive to not understand his language.
His facts are wrong about small businesses. His motto is I work you eat, and McCain’s motto is I work, I eat. It’s that simple people, it’s not rocket science. You just need to listen to the language of each candidate and see who is lying by overpromising. In NC alone his ad spending in a 2 week period was 1 mil something, and McCain’s spending was about 100K. that was more than 11 times more. This was throughout the US. If he is so liberal spending this money, what will happen once he moves to the office spending our money as it was his.
People need to do research about both candidates. McCain has more than 30 years experience making laws and implementing laws. Check the facts, that’s all I am asking, before making a decision. If Obama wins, I am moving to another country. I’d rather give my business and personal taxes to another country, than to the ones that voted Obama, who don’t work and expect the ones that work harder to pay for their living. They should try to vote and live in Scandinavia they will be happier there getting social assistance.

Kay: You had me going there until I read: ” In 2007 he was rated the MOST liberal senator by National Review (which is non-partisan)”
If I had had coffee in my mouth when I read that I would have given a classic spit-take. Here is how the National Review describes itself on its website: “National Review and NRO are America’s most widely read and influential magazine and web site for Republican/conservative news, commentary, and opinion.”
Please, please Kay I beg of you: explain to us how the National Review is non-partisan!

This is not a no-brainer……..we used no brain in the last two chances to elect a true leader. We have a chance to elect a man with vision, compassion, a new concept of what America can and should be. This election requires the use of a full brainer, Obama!

Know what the difference between Cindy McCain and Sarah Palin is? Cindy has made her fame and fortune from “Joe Sixpack” and Sarah wants to!
October 19th, 2008 at 5:25 am
Bob, Yes they all lie but not McCain. I believe in him. Obama’s lies treat you as a little kid that knows nothing. Don’t you think those seven years of McCain supporting Bush did make the McCain smarter in the future? The older the wiser and this is what I see in McCain.
Isn’t America great that you can choose your own medical plan rather than run by your country. I am not smart on goverment and taxation, but the $5000 dollars should be coming from your own money after tax cuts. I really don’t want my money got taken out and share with many others that don’t know how to stand up on their own, after all this is America, not a socialist or communist country. If the democracts wanted to be governored by state, they could all go to Vietnam to thrive there and have a taste of communist.
We can look at Europe, people are more civilized there but check their GNP, low vert low campare to the US, why, socialist.
Bob I am sorry if I sound like an idiot, but think about if you go to socialism, you are not going to see your original country again and there is no way back because a sunken boat is too damaged to be refurbished.

A taxpayer voting for Obama is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders. You are all against Rape, you are all against witholding food from children, how much worse is killing an innocent child? How could you then vote for Obama? He does not have a record fighting for peoples rights! He has no conscience!

If Obama were of European descent, he would be the perfect ANTICHRIST!

The media is so liberal. They lean heavily toward Obama and his radical promises. They attack McCain and Palin on a daily basis, while allowing Obama and Biden to fly under the radar.
Americans,,, PLEASE do your homework! Despite Obama’s lies and promises… HE IS NOT QUALIFIED to lead this country and make life and death decisions for our children!!
We need to take a stand and DO THE RIGHT THING! Please vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin.
God Bless America.

I don’t think that I can vote for Barack Obama.
It has become apparent that pro-Obama news reportersare scared to address the concerns that many Americans have regarding Obama’s character.
The message has been overwhelmingly clear to me and others that Democratsdo not want to address this vitally important topic because they do not know the truth about Obama. In fact, nobody does or willing to disclose it.
Why is the character of Barack Obama irrelevant when he is running to be the leader of our country? Why shouldn’t we examine Obama’s character to see if he can be trusted and believed? Why shouldn’t his connections to Reverend Wright be explored by voters? Why shouldn’t we scrutinize Obama’s support and attendance at a church that is prejudice against many ethnicities? Why shouldn’t we examine the fact that Obama claims to be Christian but his half-brother, Gaddafi and other Islamic leaders claim he is Muslim? If the democrats claim that religion should be non-factor, why is there so much discrepancy around the truth?
Sadly, although no one will admit it, Reverse Racism is the only reason why these topics have been ignored and the only reason why the democrats are allowing Obama to be on this year’s ticket. Ask yourself, would john McCain be on this year’s Republican ticket if he went to an all white church that preached about white power and condemning America for 20 years? I think not.
character may be one of the most relevant attributes evaluated when a person is trying to get a job, applying for government office, adopting children, or even trying to be admitted to the Bar as an attorney practicing law.In the judicial system and the trials which determine people’s lives are also largely determined based upon whether a jury can trust a witnesses “character.” It is shocking to see so many democrats lead voter’s to believe that Obama’s personal character is irrelevant when running for the highest office in America. I guess it was okay to attack Monica Lewinsky’s personal credibility.

Obama 2008, you are using the same tatic theaters use to remind people with idling minds by flashing pop corn/sodas & stuffs, hey you forgot to use your magic word “CHANGE”.

To vote for Obama is to think like a 6 year old…
…. Only what looks good NOW… HANDOUTS… FREEBIES…
… No thought of what’s to come..
He scares me to death… He is SO FAKE!! Only says what he thinks everyone wants to hear…
Wake up, people!

I cannot believe that you republicans have not been insulted by your own party. The Republican Party actually said, “The only Republicans who do not like Sarah Palin are the intellectual Republicans.” Do you not find that offensive? So in other words, your own party is stating that you are rather quite dumb!
